Michaela Robertson has pressed pause on her professional football career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The speedy forward has informed the Wellington Phoenix she is taking a break and won\u2019t be returning to the Phoenix for the upcoming Ninja A-League season.

Robertson, 28, joined the Nix ahead of the 2022-23 season and went on to make 25 appearances for the club over the past two years, scoring four goals.

Three of her goals came in the last five matches of the 2023-24 campaign, finding the back of the net against Melbourne Victory, Perth Glory and Adelaide United.

\u201cTaking a break this season has been a tough decision to make,\u201d Robertson said. \u201cBut one I believe is right for me at this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
